Claim ledger + dual independent audit

Every factual piece shows its sources.

You shouldn’t have to take a writer’s word for it. ydose keeps a record of where every fact came from, and keeps writing and checking apart.

  1. The ledger comes first

    Before a piece is written, every fact it will state is entered in a claim ledger: the claim itself, the source it rests on, and exactly where in that source it appears. Sources are read first-hand, not from search snippets or someone else’s retelling. A fact with no line in the ledger doesn’t make it into the piece.

  2. Two independent sources for certainty

    A claim is rated high-confidence only when two unrelated institutions each support it on their own. Two institutions relaying the same study count as one source. A claim that rests on a single source is never worded more firmly than the source itself.

  3. Dual independent audit

    Auditing is kept separate from writing, and it runs in two directions: the piece is checked against the ledger sentence by sentence, and every ledger line is checked against the source itself. In History and Psychology every piece, and in other subjects a random sample, then goes through a second audit that is independent of the first.

The ledger is kept in Turkish; this line is translated. Line numbers point to the place in the source text as it was read.

How-to pieces, on work habits or communication for instance, make no factual claims about the world, so they carry no sources. They get a separate screening instead, to make sure no unverified fact has slipped in.

Research and audits are carried out by AI agents bound by written sourcing rules; the decision to publish rests with a human editor.

Bir yazıya güvenmek için yazana inanmak yetmemeli. ydose her olgunun nereden geldiğini kayda geçirir; yazmak ile denetlemek ayrı işlerdir.

  1. Önce defter, sonra yazı

    Yazıda geçecek her olgu önce bir iddia defterine işlenir: iddianın kendisi, dayandığı kaynak ve kaynağın içinde tam olarak nerede geçtiği. Kaynak, arama sonuçlarından ya da başkasının aktarımından değil, kendisinden okunur. Defterde satırı olmayan olgu yazıya giremez.

  2. Kesinlik için iki bağımsız kaynak

    Bir iddianın güveni ancak birbirinden bağımsız iki kurum onu ayrı ayrı doğruluyorsa “yüksek” sayılır. Aynı araştırmayı aktaran iki kurum tek kaynaktır. Tek kaynağa dayanan bilgi, kaynağının söylediğinden daha kesin yazılmaz.

  3. Çift bağımsız denetim

    Denetim yazımdan ayrı yürür ve iki yönde çalışır: yazı cümle cümle defterle, defterin her satırı da kaynağın kendisiyle karşılaştırılır. Tarih ve Psikoloji’de her yazı, öteki alanlarda rastgele seçilen yazılar, ilkinden bağımsız ikinci bir denetimden de geçer.

0–14 kesin bir sınır değildir: çok asidik çözeltilerde 0’ın altında, derişik baz çözeltilerinde 14’ün üstünde pH değerleri ölçülebilir.
